It’s that creepy time again this October 31st. Halloween is a time of scares, tricks and treats and there are plenty of juicy new Halloween movies and tv episodes this year for your enjoyment, but, if you also want to check out some great Halloween themed episodes and movies that I highly recommend if you want to get into the Halloween spirit then here are ten of my personal favorite Halloween themed tv episodes and movies that will do the “trick”. So get ready to pull out your DVDs, search on any streaming platform, record some reruns on the ol’ DVR and search Youtube for these delightfully frightening and wickedly fun “treats”…. If you dare.

10. Hey Arnold: “Arnold’s Halloween.”

Doing a memorable homage to Orson Welles’ legendary War Of The Worlds radio broadcast back in 1938. Arnold and the gang pull the same prank on Halloween only with not so funny results as the whole town actually believes that evil Aliens have invaded Earth. It’s a classic episode filled with humor and heart which Hey Arnold always did better than most animated series aimed at kids.

9. Boy Meets World: “And Then There Was Shawn.”

This iconic Boy Meets World gave us a fun parody of teen slasher\horror movies and it is both wickedly funny and genuinely haunting.

8. The Parkers: “Scary Kim” and “Mummy’s The Word.”

The Parkers had two classic Halloween episodes. The first doubling as a Halloween episode and a crossover with the mothership show Moesha and the second being a fun Halloween party gone completely wrong. These are two scary movies where all the black people don’t die at the beginning.

7. George Lopez Halloween Episodes.

Halloween with the Lopezes are always a blast; full of ghoulish pranks and scary family revelations. It’s just not Halloween without George and the family.

6. Ghostbusters 1984.

Who you gonna call? The Ghostbusters of course! What says Halloween better than Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson busting ghosts together? One of the most iconic comedy films of all time and certainly a perfect movie to watch this Halloween season.

5. Halloween 1978.

John Carpenter’s little film introduced the world to Jamie Lee Curtis and gave us the iconic sadistic killer Michael Myers. There have been plenty of sequels to follow this first film but this first movie started it all and was perfect for a real scare.

4. The Middle Halloween Episodes.

Nobody does holidays like the Heck family and Halloween is no exception. They’ve had plenty of classic Halloween episodes that are fun to watch and I look forward to them every year.

3. Kenan and Kel: Two Heads are Better Than None.

Not only does this serve as Kenan and Kel’s movie debut but also serves as the definitive series finale of the four season Nick show. A treat you definitely shouldn’t miss this year. Plenty of fun to be had with the antics of the Rockmores and Kel as they battle a headless horseman in a creepy little town called Rockville.

2. Halloweentown Trilogy.

These Disney channel original movies are apart of everybody’s childhood and they’re still just as enjoyable as they were when you were a kid.

  1. The Addams Family and Addams Family Values.

These two films may not have been set on Halloween but the Addamses are radiate such a ghoulish and macabre nature that they’re the perfect movies to watch on Halloween. Halloween with the Addams family is a must!

Happy Halloween everybody! And just in case you want a particularly creepy Christmas then I might suggest you visit the Addamses for that occasion too:
