Let’s talk about the huge elephant in the room: Bill Cosby. I don’t have to tell you about what’s been going on since 2015 regarding Mr. Cosby, so let’s skip over the heinous details, shall we? I want to discuss Bill Cosby’s legacy on two important tv series he’s most famous for.

This may seem ironic discussing Cosby’s legacy with all the monstrous deeds he has committed, but now’s a better time than any to remind all of you that the legacy of Cosby goes way beyond the man. His image may be forever tainted, maybe not, but what he’s accomplished shouldn’t be discarded or tainted because it’s so much bigger than him. This article will specifically be discussing the powerful contributions of Cosby’s important role of Scotty from the classic sixties spy adventure series I Spy which ran from 1965–1968 on NBC and the enormous legacy of his 1984–1992 iconic sitcom The Cosby Show.

First let’s start with Bill Cosby’s iconic role in I Spy as Alexander “Scotty” Scott.
