Here we go again. First we lost Norman Lear at the beginning of the week, now we’ve lost another legend in Andre Braugher aka Frank Pembleton aka Captain Raymond Holt aka Owen Thoreau from Men of a Certain Age aka Corporal Thomas Searles from Glory aka Dr. Gregory House’s Therapist from House, MD and so on and so forth. The guy has been giving us many memorable performances for so long now. I consider him one of the all time greats alongside such immortals as Sidney Poitier, Jimmy Stewart, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Cary Grant, Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Howard Rollins Jr., Carroll O’Connor, James Garner, Tom Selleck, Kurt Russell, Charles S. Dutton etc. I want to pay tribute to this man by listing my top five favorite performances of Mr. Braugher that mesmerized, enticed, and entranced me and many of you who have been blessed enough to witness such greatness.
