Funny how we have similar takes on this film because I came away with most of the same thoughts and feelings as you, though I have to be honest I mostly enjoyed the movie due to Aldis Hodge's Hawkman and Pierce Brosnan's Dr. Fate and found Atom Smasher and Cyclone too one dimensional and stereotypical teenagers to care about them. I also know that Johnson didn't turn in the best performance, he's limited as far as acting goes but for the most part but like you said I thought the wooden stoicness worked fine here, and he was certainly the draw for the film and without him it wouldn't have even gotten made. Anyway, awesome review, man!
