Dexter Morgan was America’s favorite serial killer. Every Sunday night from 2006 to 2013 on Showtime people watched Dexter juggle his day job, his “night job”, and his romantic and familial relationships. The show was adapted from the novels written by Jeff Lindsay.

It all started when we meet Dexter for the first time aka “The Dark Passenger” in the creepy but riveting opening scene:

From those first eery moments we learn a lot about Dexter Morgan and what he’s all about. The stone cold killer side of him is on full display and surprisingly we don’t even hate the guy because his “victim” happens to be a sick and depraved child molester and killer.
